Swasthya Swaraj Comprehensive Community Health Programme
(Functioning Since 2014)
Ours is a grass root level healthcare organization started as a response to the shocking levels of health inequality existing in this part of the Kalahandi district in Odisha. The challenges include geographic terrain, distance, people who were deprived of all modern healthcare till now, health seeking behaviour of people etc.
Two Health Centres are located in extremely underserved areas, focusing on tribal health. We provide high quality primary healthcare with excellent diagnostic services and emergency care services. Providing healthcare through 24×7 health centres is well balanced with community empowerment programmes. Many training programmes of grass root level health workers and middle level health workers, staff trainings are continuously conducted.
Presently the health centres are located in very humble rented buildings. We will be relocating to better buildings in the coming months, to be constructed in the land donated by the government, situated in Kaniguma village with better facilities, space and more beds.
Only those who are passionate about working in a challenging tribal area and willing to work in very limited circumstances will be able to work here.
