Shaheed Hospital, Dalli Rajahara, Chhattisgarh.

Born out as a dream during the movement of union laborers led by Late Mr Shankar Guha Niyogi in early 80s, we are a hospital in the tribal belts nearly at the center of Chhattisgarh, serving about 150 km area around Dalli Rajhara. The hospital earned its name from the eleven contract workers who braved police firing for their demands and laid down their lives in June of 1977 at Dalli-Rajhara while during the strike. To this date, the hospital stands committed to its principle ‘Mehnatkasho ke swasthya k liye mehnatkashon ka apna karykram’.

Guided by the unmet needs of the community we serve, we aim to provide affordable, rational, safe and evidence based healthcare in a milieu that blends aesthetics, compassion and commitment. Started as a small outpatient facility, we have now grown into a 125 bedded hospital and training center. The hospital has established itself as a place of immense trust among the masses,as evident from the extremely busy outpatient and inpatient facilities. The hospital has 2 functioning major operation theatre, 1 labour room, 1 minor operation theatre, separate wards for medicine, surgery, paediatrics, ante natal and post natal care with OPDs for Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Dentistry and physiotherapy and Weekly OPD for ENT and Orthopedics. Our efforts to provide high-quality low-cost diagnostic and therapeutic care is backed by the laboratories carrying out basic essential investigations of pathology, biochemistry and microbiology at a very affordable cost, and a radiology unit carrying out basic radiological investigations. We don’t have a critical care unit as of now but apart from that, patients within a wide spectrum of diseases are treated at our hospital.

The hospital is a distinguished centre for training health professionals and provides excellent opportunity for hands-on clinical learning with special focus on maternal health care. Some training programmes are run by the hospital and some in collaboration with the state government and eminent institutions like CMC Vellore.
