Priti David is a Journalist, Editor and Teacher. She writes on Adivasis, education, health, women and livelihoods at the People’s Archive of Rural India (PARI) and her stories may be read here. As the Education Editor at PARI, she works closely with schools and universities to bring rural issues into the classroom and curriculum. She believes that our education system needs to include a better understanding of marginalised communities, many of whom live in rural areas. Priti comes from a family of doctors and grew up in Allahabad where her parents, graduates of the Christian Medical College, Vellore, ran a rural health outreach programme, and she saw firsthand the impact of sound medical care in remote areas. Priti is a classical dancer, a trekker and yoga enthusiast.
