Dr Alisha Kalyanpur

Born to doctor parents, Alisha Kalyanpur, 25, is an MBBS graduate from JIPMER, Puducherry. After finishing medical school, she aspired to work in a rural hospital to get exposure to the ground reality of healthcare in rural areas. That’s when she found a lack of an organised way to find the vacancies in the hospitals of rural India. On discussing this with Dr Nandakumar, the idea of forming Rural Hospital Network came up.

She was working as a junior doctor at Gudalur Adivasi Hospital, under the mentorship of Dr Nandakumar, till recently. She believes in working towards bridging healthcare inequality in rural India.
